# Analytics overview

> Get to know the Analytics area in Referly: switch between Program Performance and Affiliate Acquisition, set your time period, filter your data, and read your charts and breakdowns.

Your **Analytics** area is where you see how your whole affiliate program is doing — how much traffic your affiliates send, how many customers they refer, how much revenue and commission they drive, where your affiliates come from, and how they move from a first click all the way through to a sale. Everything updates as your program runs, so you can check in any time to see what's working.

This page is a tour of what you'll find. Each part links to a more detailed guide when you want to go deeper.

## Find your analytics

In the left sidebar, select **Analytics**. The page opens with two tabs across the top:

* **Program Performance** — the results your affiliates are driving: clicks, referrals, revenue, and commission.
* **Affiliate Acquisition** — where your affiliates come from and how they progress through signing up and onboarding.

Switch between the two tabs at any time. The time period you've chosen carries over as you move between them.

## Program Performance

The **Program Performance** tab answers the question "how is my program doing?" At the top you'll see one big number for the metric you're looking at, along with how it compares to the previous period, and a chart that plots it over time. You can switch the metric between **Clicks**, **Referrals**, **Revenue**, and **Commission**.

Below the chart, a set of breakdown cards shows which affiliates, groups, links, traffic sources, countries, and devices are driving each metric. At the bottom, a conversion funnel shows how visitors move from a click through to a sale.

See [Performance](/docs/help-center/manage/analytics/performance) for a full walkthrough of the metrics and breakdowns, and [Conversion funnel](/docs/help-center/manage/analytics/conversion-funnel) for the funnel.

## Affiliate Acquisition

The **Affiliate Acquisition** tab answers a different question: "where do my affiliates come from, and are they getting set up?" It tracks **affiliate sign ups** and **portal page visits**, breaks them down by the source that brought each affiliate in and by country, and shows an onboarding funnel so you can see how many new affiliates make it through each step of getting started.

See [Affiliate acquisition](/docs/help-center/manage/analytics/affiliate-acquisition) for the full guide.

## Set the time period

Every chart and number on the page reflects the period you've chosen. Use the date picker at the top to pick a preset like **Last 7 days** or **This month**, or set your own start and end dates. The chart's resolution — hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly — adjusts to the length of the period.

See [Date ranges and granularity](/docs/help-center/manage/analytics/date-ranges) for how to change the period and resolution.

## Filter what you see

Use the **Filter** button at the top to narrow everything on the page down to a slice of your program — for example, one affiliate, a single country, or mobile traffic only. You can also click any bar in a breakdown card to instantly filter by that value, which makes it quick to drill from a big number down to the detail behind it.

Each tab keeps its own set of filters, so what you filter on Program Performance stays separate from Affiliate Acquisition.
