Migrate your program into Referly

Affiliates, then referrals, then sales. Referly runs them in that order because a referral needs its affiliate and a sale needs both.

Referly imports directly from Partnero. Create a key under Integration, API inside the program you are moving, run the importer, and partners arrive with their codes, rates and join dates. One thing to weigh first: Partnero does not cap revenue and Referly's plans do, so check the caps against your own numbers before you commit.

Before you start

What you gain, and what you give up

The first row is the one nobody else in this category would print on their own migration page. It is also the most important row here.

Stays behind

An uncapped revenue meter

Partnero's own words: unlimited partners, transactions and revenue, the same flat fee however big the network gets. That is true, and Referly does not match it. Startup covers up to $10,000 a month in affiliate revenue and Business up to $30,000, with Enterprise above that. If your program is well past $30,000 a month, price both properly before you move.

Stays behind

Commission structures

Rebuilt by hand, as on every migration from every tool.

Stays behind

The historic click log

Not importable from any tool. Click and conversion-rate charts start on cutover day.

Stays behind

Portal branding

Rebuilt. Referly's portal takes branding, custom CSS and a custom domain on Business and above.

Comes across

Partners and their details

Names, emails, payout emails and status, over the API.

Comes across

Referral codes and links

The code survives; the domain it points at changes.

Comes across

Per-partner commission rates

Arrive as per-affiliate overrides rather than collapsing to one program rate.

Comes across

Customers, sales and commissions

With their original dates, so the history you built on Partnero is still the history you report on.

Partly

Paid payouts

Sales you import can carry their paid status, so nobody is paid twice. The payout records themselves stay behind.

Partly

Unpaid commissions

Import them marked unpaid and pay from Referly, or pay them out of Partnero first.

Commission structures are rebuilt by hand on every migration, from every tool, including this one. And to say the first row once more plainly: Partnero's flat, uncapped fee is a real advantage, and it is the reason some readers of this page should stay where they are.

Programs

Main programCreator programSeparate rates, one login

The actual reason people move

Starter is one program and one team member

Partnero's Starter is a single program with a single seat, and Partner at $199 a month is three programs and still a single seat. For a solo founder that is fine. The moment a second person needs to approve a payout, answer an affiliate or look at the numbers, the plan is the constraint rather than the product. Referly's team members come with roles, and running a second program is a switcher in the sidebar rather than a plan change.

  • Invite teammates with roles rather than sharing one login
  • Separate programs with their own rates, branding and rosters, on one account
  • Agency accounts on top of that, if you run programs for other people

Referly's own plans differ on what they include too. Check the seat and program allowances on the plan you are moving to rather than assuming, and compare them against what you actually pay Partnero today.

Step 1

Where your Partnero API key lives

Created inside the program you are moving, not at the account level.

Integration → API → Create API key, inside the program you are moving

    Copy your API key.

The importer

Exactly what the Partnero importer pulls

Generated from the importer itself, so it is what the product does today rather than what a page once claimed.

1. Affiliates

First name · Last name · Email · Join date · Affiliate link

2. Referrals

First name · Last name · Email · Affiliate email · Join date · External user ID

3. Sales

Customer email · Customer name · Affiliate email · Transaction amount · Transaction date · Commission · Paid status

Affiliates first, then referrals, then sales. Referly will not run them out of order, because a referral needs its affiliate and a sale needs both.

The migration

Four steps, one afternoon

A Partnero program tends to carry less structure than the enterprise-shaped tools, so the rebuild is short.

1Scope and plan

~30 min

List your campaigns, commission rules and open payouts. Decide what happens to commissions accrued but not yet paid.

2Export and map

~30 min

Export affiliates from Partnero. Referly's direct Partnero importer maps affiliates, their referral links and their commission rates.

3Configure and import

~1 hour

Recreate your commission plans in Referly, run the import, and swap the tracking script and the payment connection.

4Verify and go live

3 to 7 days overlap

Run both in parallel, compare attributed sales daily, then switch off Partnero.

Referral codes

Nobody has to re-share a link

The importer reads each partner's link and pulls the referral code out of it, whether the code sits in a query parameter or the last path segment, so the code itself survives the move. What changes is the domain. Links your partners have already posted point at Partnero and stop resolving when you switch it off, which is what the overlap period is for: keep both running, send everyone their new link in one batch, and set up redirects on any domain you own.

Plan your move

How long yours will take

The import is minutes. What moves the number is how many commission structures you are rebuilding.

400

The importer does not slow down with volume. A bigger roster just means more to reconcile during the overlap.

Commission plans and campaign rules

This is the input that moves the number. No importer carries commission plans, from any tool, including ours.

You use coupon codes today

Existing codes need mapping, and new ones minting on your store.

Your payouts are automated today

Original dates, not import dates

Map the join-date column and every affiliate arrives with the date they actually signed up. Sales keep their transaction dates, and commissions already paid arrive marked paid, so nobody gets paid twice.

The history question

Your partners keep the dates they joined on

The thing people assume a migration flattens is time. It does not have to. Map the join-date column and every partner arrives with the date they actually signed up, not with today's. Sales keep their transaction dates, and commissions already settled arrive marked paid so the first payout run after a migration does not try to pay them again. Leaderboards, tenure and lifetime earnings all still read correctly on the other side.

  • Join dates, transaction dates and refund dates all preserved
  • Settled commissions import as already paid
  • Imported records stay distinguishable from live ones

Last step

Before you cancel: export a copy of everything

Pull partners, referrals, commissions and payout history out of Partnero as CSV and keep it somewhere durable. Access usually closes at cancellation.

Cancel from your Partnero billing settings once the overlap has finished and both dashboards agree on attributed sales. Not before, because while Partnero is running, links your partners posted months ago still resolve.

If you decided against moving after reading the first row of the table above, that is a legitimate outcome of this page and no hard feelings. Their flat fee is a real advantage at scale.

Migration help

Migration help, free on every plan

Direct import or CSV, Startup or Enterprise, moving costs nothing. On this one, bring your monthly affiliate revenue to the call as well as your export, because the caps are the thing worth checking before anything else.

Managed, done-for-you migration is part of Enterprise and the agency plans. For context: Trackdesk includes migration and implementation assistance from its $329 Business plan.
