The attribution window
Generic templates say “a reasonable period”. That is worthless the first time two affiliates touch the same customer.
Refund clawbacks
Without this clause you pay commission on revenue you handed back, and deducting it later becomes a surprise.
Brand term bidding
Affiliates routinely assume it is allowed. It is the fastest way to pay commission on customers already searching for you.
Self referrals
